Welcome to the Bible-Presbyterian Church of WA
The Bible-Presbyterian Church of Western Australia (BPCWA) was founded in 1986 by Calvary Bible-Presbyterian Church of Singapore as a missionary outreach to Australia. Raised up by God in an age of great falling away from the faith, BPCWA continues to shine forth as a beacon of light to the surrounding community, standing firmly for the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
COVID-19 Plan - How will we worship and fellowship during this time?
In view of current government measures, our services and meetings in the church will instead be through livestream until further notice:

Update: Sunday, 17 May 2020
Dear BPCWA Family
God willing, our worship service today marks the last day of worship without a congregation physically present in church!
Western Australia has announced the Phase 2 roadmap, which permits churches to have 20 patrons gather with social distancing. With this, we requested worshippers to submit their details online so that they could be rostered back to attend some of our meetings. Thankfully, in this short time frame, the vast majority of worshippers have submitted their details online. This has allowed us to roster worshippers into groups to come in for our Lord’s Day worship and weekdays meetings.
Lord’s Day Worship services
When services in church resume, English Worship will be at 10 am and Chinese Worship at 1:30 pm. Worshippers have been pre-grouped and will take turns to attend Worship Service. With only 20 patrons allowed at each meeting, there will be no Basic Bible Knowledge, Sunday School classes, or Holy Communion during Phase 2 which will last for about 4 weeks.
When you return to church, please pick up your own bulletin and hymnbook, observing social distancing as you queue, seat yourself, or as you enter/ leave the church.
Prayer Meetings and Fellowships
English prayer meeting and Regen/Y180 fellowships will resume meetings on Tuesday and Fridays at 7:30 pm in church. Attendance at these meetings are also rostered to 20 patrons each time. Please only come to church on your rostered dates. As not everyone can attend these meetings at the same time, these meetings will continue to be livestreamed.
Based on the submissions received, the participants at the Chinese prayer meeting and CAF/CSF fellowships will fall below the 20 patron limit. To allow for these Chinese brethren to gather together at once without the need for rostering, the decision was made to change the Chinese prayer meetings and CSF/CAF meetings to Monday and Thursdays respectively. Since those interested in attending these meetings can gather face to face, there is no need to continue livestreams for these meetings.
Livestream links will be given out on a need basis, as per pre COVID-19 times. Those who are rostered for meetings at church should bring along their phones, headphones and May prayer bulletins so that they can continue to pray in their groups after the message.
These will be assessed on a case to case basis, depending on the number of attendees. For meetings with less than 20 patrons, they will be conducted in church and regular livestreams will stop.
Tithes and Offerings
In order to avoid the need to handle and count cash, offerings will not be collected during the services held in church. We should continue to return to the Lord our tithes and offerings through bank transfers to the BPCWA bank account, BSB: 016-268, Account: 4784-38319. Please include in the description for the transaction the words “Tithes Offerings”.
Returning to the Lord for the building fund can be done by bank transfer to the BPCWA building fund account BSB: 016-268 Account: 5313-03414.
We praise God for helping to keep the disease under control here, and I am thrilled that we will soon be able to meet again soon. However, I urge all worshippers to continue to do our part to observe safe practices and maintain the 1.5m social distancing measures even when we return to church. Remember, if you are not feeling well on your day of roster, please inform us and do not come to church even if it means you will have to skip your rostered day. More than ever, we encourage our BPCWA family to continue to pray for the church, each other, and our country at this time. The pandemic is not over, and we must continue to pray that it will be contained in WA, and for wisdom upon our government leaders.
The past few weeks have been a lesson to all of us to be thankful for the privilege of being able to gather together as a church. Now that we can, let us look forward to come back to church and worshipping Him together.
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Yours in Christ,
